The Valley Cottage Fire Engine Co. #1 is an all Volunteer Fire Company organized in the hamlet of Valley Cottage, Town of Clarkstown, County of Rockland, and State of New York in 1914.
The members of the Fire Company provide 24 hour/365 day volunteer fire protection to the residents of Valley Cottage. Members also provide fire prevention education to the Community by visiting the local schools in Valley Cottage and having an open house for the Community each year in October, during which demonstration, training and literature are available for the residents of our Community.
The members of the Fire Company are all volunteer and come from all walks of life in our Community representing; students, business owners, professionals, trades and retirees, our membership even consists of 5th generation members. The members are professionally trained by attending regular training classes at the Rockland County Fire Training Center to stay current on the current state and federal guidelines as well as new technology.
The Fire Company is very appreciative of any monetary donations that people can make to support our activities and also is looking for residents of our Community that can also volunteer their time by becoming members of our Fire Company, which they find is very rewarding.
